This mac and cheese is rich and creamy, and packs a bit of a punch!
If mac and cheese isn't your thing, then the cheese sauce can make a lovely fondue to spice up your fondue night. Dip raw veggies, apples, or bread in for a fun treat! You can also use the sauce to top broccoli or burger, the possibilities are endless - it's cheese!
Ingredients:
- 3 tbs butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 and 1/2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp Taytsa (or more to taste)
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 box elbow noodles
- chopped parsley
Directions:
Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Once the water has boiled, add the box of elbow noodles and cook as directed.
To make the cheese sauce melt the 3 tbs of butter and mix with a little less than 1/4 c. flour to make a roux. Add 1.5 c. milk, and stir until thickens.
Add 2c. shredded mozzarella and 1c. shredded Monterey jack. Add 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp Taytsa and the 1 tsp honey.
